Protect Pennsylvania's outdoors from another fracking pipeline
Oil and gas companies are pushing to build PennEast, a pipeline that would transport fracked gas from northeastern Pennsylvania to New Jersey and cross major waterways, wildlife habitat, farmland, and other portions of our communities. With it will come the risks of leaks, explosions, air pollution, and other threats to our environment and health.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the agency responsible for overseeing and approving or denying interstate pipeline projects, issued a draft environmental impact statement for PennEast. Incredibly, they decided to issue this statement knowing full well that they didn’t have complete data on the potential impacts that this pipeline will have on communities and our environment.
Submit a comment to FERC by the September 12th deadline in opposition to PennEast!
