Take the Tap Pledge

Single-use plastics are choking our rivers, washing up our beaches, killing our wildlife and pilling up on our streets as litter. In one year alone, the Philadelphia Water Department removed over 44 tons of waste from our rivers and streams - and 77% of that waste was plastic bottles!

Nothing we use for a few minutes should pollute our planet for thousands of years - especially when tap water is cheaper and held to stricter safety standards than what comes out of a bottle. That’s why PennEnvironment is supporting the Drink Philly Tap project*, and Philadelphians to do their part to reduce waste from single-use plastic water bottles and MOVE BEYOND THE BOTTLE!
